Santa’s Stack Design and Gameplay

Santa’s Stack slot is the nostalgic players’ dream title, as it has a pixelated reel and symbol design, reminiscent of old arcade rooms. If you also play video games in your free time, you’ll love its vintage feel and soundtrack. Launched in 2021 by Relax Gaming, Santa’s Stack is a Christmas-themed video slot, with a 8x8 grid structure and 64 symbol positions. Santa, Mrs Claus, an elf and Rudolph are the main characters, appearing alongside colourful Christmas lights, with a snowy town serving as the background. The slot allows bets of €0.1 to €50 per spin, or equivalent in cryptocurrency, for those of you gambling on a Bitcoin casino website like ours.

Santa’s Stack slot doesn’t use regular paylines, instead opting for a Cluster Pays mechanic, with 8 rows and 8 columns available. That means you need 5-60 matching symbols horizontally or vertically on the reels to produce a payout, with diagonal ones not qualifying. Here’s what each symbol pays depending on its type and the amount appearing on the screen:

• Santa - a cluster of 5 pays 1x your stake, 20-29 pays 40x and 60+ pays 10,000x
• Mrs Claus - 5 pays 0.5x your stake, 20-29 pays 27x and 60+ pays 4,000x
• Elf - 5 pays 0.5x your stake, 20-29 pays 25x and 60+ pays 3,000x
• Rudolph - 5 pays 0.5x your stake, 20-29 pays 23x and 60+ pays 2,000x
• Red Christmas lights - 5 pays 0.2x your stake, 20-29 pays 14x and 60+ pays 1,250x
• Green Christmas lights - 5 pays 0.2x your stake, 20-29 pays 13x and 60+ pays 1,000
• Blue Christmas lights - 5 pays 0.2x your stake, 20-29 pays 12x and 60+ pays 750x
• Yellow tile with a red ‘W’ letter inside - wild symbol, replaces other regular symbols to complete a winning cluster
• Christmas trees - scatter symbols, 3 trigger 5 free spins

If you are fascinated by this unconventional slot layout with cluster pays, you can find thousands of such titles in our crypto slots collection.

Bonus features

Santa’s Stack slot offers a total of 3 bonus features, which we’ll go over below:

• Secret Santa Respin - this feature is triggered when a wild symbol is part of a winning cluster. The whole cluster will convert into mystery symbols, followed by a respin, during which the participating symbols remain sticky. This creates a chain reaction that continues until there are no more winning clusters on the screen containing a wild symbol.
• Free spins - these are activated by at least 3 Christmas tree symbols on the reels. You get 5 free spins for every 3 scatters, and every additional bonus symbol will trigger another extra spin. During free spins, the Secret Santa feature is also active, and wild symbols are guaranteed to land on every spin. Landing bonus symbols during the free spins can trigger 3 random prizes - 1 additional free spin, +1 multiplier or 1 free spin + 1x multiplier. If, during free spins, the sum of all wins is 20,000x your bet or higher, you get 20,000x for the whole round.
• Bonus Buy - from the left-side of the slot screen, you can also purchase free spins, for a fixed cost of 100x your bet. After paying this amount, the bonus round triggers immediately and you skip the base game altogether

Santa’s Stack RTP, payouts and volatility

Santa’s Stack is a wonderful choice if you want a high-payout slot, as it has an above-average theoretical RTP score of 96.27%. In practice, investing $100 will yield a return of $96.27 over a longer game session, with the difference of 3.75% being the casino’s house edge or profit margin. If you buy free spins, the RTP score increases even more to 97%. The slot has high volatility, so it’s programmed to produce payouts with a lower frequency, but when they hit, they are substantial in value. The game’s maximum win is capped at 20,000x your stake, and can be achieved during free spins. Since it accepts bets of €0.1 to €50, if you use the €50 maximum bet, the most you could theoretically win in real money is €1,000,000.
